College Prep’s program is shaped by our founders’ belief that academically motivated students thrive when challenged. Designed by teachers who embody intellectual curiosity and care, the core curriculum’s blend of strong foundational skills and deep relationship-based learning enables students to grow in self-understanding and sense of purpose. Applying classroom lessons to solving real-world problems deepens learning and supports individual growth and broader social good. More than mastering any single skill or subject area, we want our students to be discerning learners and compassionate creators, equipped to apply what they know to complex and authentic challenges. 

 

We believe that the varied backgrounds and diverse composition of the school community are among our greatest assets. Our duty as a school is to ensure that each student is known, valued, and respected by the people who surround them and by the school that serves them, intentionally cultivating a learning environment that fosters resilience, well-being, belonging, and opportunities to celebrate one another. We will continue efforts to broaden representation and multidimensional diversity, and to support greater financial accessibility so that all may participate fully and equitably in the life of the School. 

 

College Prep built a national reputation for excellence by offering exceptional academics in a unique school culture of care and kindness. As we evolve through innovation and new opportunities, we must invest in our professional community, in our campus and facilities, and in a sustainable financial model for the future. We intend to continue to hire talented and passionate educators who collectively mirror our students in demographics and interests, supporting them with competitive compensation and professional development. We will look beyond the Hill Project to renew our campus, prioritizing the simplicity and openness that power our community. We will envision and develop more robust institutional resources, including new fundraising and continuing prudent fiscal management.

 

College Prep is a small school with an ambitious understanding of what is possible. We seek strategic partnerships that will enable us to maintain the benefits of our small size while enhancing our ability to deliver on our mission; doing so will enrich the educational experience of our students, facilitate deeper engagement with and among our alumni, and more authentically anchor our program in our local community.
