Campus Involvement: I am a part of our swim team, where I get to form cross-grade connections in a fun and supportive environment. I am also passionate and deeply involved with performing arts on campus. I participate in the dance program, sing in AVE (Advanced Vocal Ensemble), and perform in our after-school dance program. After 2 years of participation in Guys Dance, I now co-choreograph the pieces we present, fostering an inclusive space for those underrepresented in dance. Additionally, I help lead Green Team, where my co-leaders and I promote climate action and sustainability on campus.

What advice would you give to 8th graders applying to high school? I would encourage you to figure out which schools align the most with your passions and learning goals. Do some research, attend info sessions, and most of all, don’t put pressure on yourself to get into one specific school.

What is your favorite thing about College Prep? The teachers. Without them, this school would not be the same. Not only do they show up to school excited to teach us, but they also come ready to hear our thoughts and contributions and learn something from us.

What is your favorite character from a movie/book/television series? I might have to go with Azula from Avatar: The Last Airbender. She’s crazy, I know, but I think that is what makes her so compelling. Despite her sociopathic tendencies, she never fails to leave an impact, both through her ambition and vulnerability.

Three fun facts about me:

  2. I modeled for Costco as a kid
  3. I’m a nerd for maps
