Campus Involvement: I'm involved a lot with the arts at CPS: I've participated in Advanced Vocal Ensemble, Dance, and the after-school drama productions. I've made some of my closest friends through the art programs at CPS, where the kids are very welcoming and creative. I'm also involved in the Partners Program, where I mentor a middle school student, and I am a CPS writing tutor. I'm also a leader of Latin Club and a member of the DnD Club.

What is the biggest difference between middle school and high school? The biggest difference between middle school and high school for me has been the increased independence. Teachers treat you with more trust and respect, giving you the responsibility to manage your own learning and advocate for yourself. I also have more flexibility in my schedule because of free blocks, which allows me to structure my day and manage my workload more intentionally than in middle school.

What is your favorite thing about College Prep? My favorite thing about College Prep is the community. The students are always willing to help each other, and are really supportive, both academically and personally. The teachers also add to the supportive environment at CPS by being approachable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in their students’ growth.

What is your favorite character from a movie/book/television series? It's very hard for me to choose between the main characters in Derry Girls, but if I had to pick, I would probably choose Clare. She is a very sympathetic and well-intentioned character, and I love how nerdy, sincere, and unintentionally funny she is.

Three fun facts about me:
  1. I have seen both Queen and the Beatles in concert (minus their lead singers).
  2. I enjoy songwriting on the guitar.
  3. My sister says I have a cool sister.
