High school is a time of challenge for all students, as they navigate new environments and to grow into confident and thoughtful young adults. The members of the Class of 2024 faced the additional challenge of starting high school remotely. When they finally arrived on campus, they were eager to find their way and to create community. This singular class knows how important it is to be welcomed, and wants their legacy to celebrate that in-person connection–to create a welcoming environment for all students, whether it is their first day of school or their last. 

 

With that being said, our campus “Welcome” could use a refresh. This gift will support the renovation of the P1 classroom (next to the Gym stairs, where the Book Fair sorting days and Tech Refresh occur), creating a more functional and gracious Welcome Center to receive campus visitors. In addition, the gift will support other welcoming touches throughout campus, including the renovation of the Smith Room to be a dedicated meeting space, the upgrade to more sustainable lighting in the parking lot, and the addition of much needed signage that will help people find their way on campus.
